Member of Knesset (MK) Aliza Lavie is taking initiative on passing a law introducing electronic bracelets for men who physically abuse women. A year ago, MK Lavie helped pass this law through a preliminary reading, and yet the law is still not enacted into law. In the year since, the government has proven that it is able to quickly pass other laws, so it is unacceptable that this life-saving law has yet to pass. The government must prioritize this law and quickly pass it. As the startup nation, we will surely be able to swiftly deal with the technological challenges posed by creating the electronic bracelet. It is tragic that 24 women paid with their lives for the government to wake up.
