Every year I hold an event on International Agunah Day to commemorate the struggles of women whose husbands refuse to give them a get. Sitting in an allegorical cage, I was joined by others to discuss the plights of Agunot all around the world and my ongoing campaign to expand the rights of women in Israel and in all other nations. International Agunah Day is a day of justice and a reminder to all of us to continue fighting for women’s freedom and the liberation of women who have not yet escaped their marital bonds.
