MK Lavie: "They got tired of the lies so they decided to help explain the real Israel."
This morning, MK Lavie participated in a seminar workshop on the State of Israel's foreign and public relations, in collaboration with a youth movement aiming to elevate local and global perceptions of Israel. Operating under the title, "Youth at the Frontlines for Changing the Image," these young activists are dedicated to showcasing the genuine benevolence of the State of Israel and challenging the lies spread by anti-semitic groups and international boycott initiatives.
MK Aliza Lavie participated this morning in a seminar on the State of Israel's foreign and public relations, under the title "Youth at the Frontlines for Changing the Image”.
MK Lavie: "They got tired of the lies and they decided to help explain the real Israel. I met young people full of passion who are willing to tell our story and fight the false narrative. Just before they set out, I shared with them what was going on in the Council of Europe and the renewed parliamentary connection with Norway. I wish them the best of luck."
The seminar combined content that provided participants with a rich set of tools enabling them to deal with a wide range of diplomatic and explanatory challenges, with an emphasis on understanding the cornerstones of modern diplomacy, how different organizations operate in the global arena, the role of the media in public diplomacy, branding of countries, and more.
Lectures and workshops were given by organizations and experts, in the fields of education and information, about Israel throughout the world. Organizations included the Debate Company, StandWithUs, Act.il, and others.
Attending the seminar were caring and motivated young people willing to fight for the image of the State of Israel in the wake of spreading global anti-Semitism and the revival of boycott movements and harmful international campaigns (such as the BDS), which call for the pressuring of Israel through economic, academic and cultural exclusion.
